Kid Fresh Delivers the Goods

One of our regular readers, Jean, has tipped us off to this cool-looking new Manhattan store with a  soon-to-be online shopping experience.

It’s called Kid Fresh and, while I don’t know a whole lot more about it than what we’ve seen on the website, it certainly looks like perfect Gastrokid fodder.

Kid Fresh features a series of all-natural, freshly prepared meals in age-adjusted proportions (they obviously haven’t seen my one-year old Z eat!). There’s nutrition tips and even cooking classes for kids.

They’ll be adding an e-commerce option soon but, in the meantime, you can place your remote orders over the phone.

Explore and enjoy and next time Hugh or I are on the Upper East Side, we’ll be sure to check Kid Fresh out.

One Response to Kid Fresh Delivers the Goods

  1. Okay, so I went to the web site to check it out and I have a few reservations about this. I thought the hand shaped sandwich was cute but honestly I’m not going to pay $7.25 per meal and higher for something I could make in my own kitchen for $1.25. When you want your children to eat healthy you should be teaching them healthy lifestyle habits. Buying these foods won’t solve the problem if you’re still eating a choclate bar within smelling or seeing distance of your kid. And it won’t solve the problem if you still had bad-for-you treats in your house. You said yourself in your post that they’ve never seen your child eat. So you’re basically setting yourself up for disaster by limiting your kids to the portions and flavors available in these packs. Maybe your kid likes Chicken but not mozzarella or they like that wrap but don’t like the other stuff inside. As parents, it’s our job to make sure that our kids eat healthy but also get enough to eat and aren’t forced to eat things they don’t like…if they don’t like vegetables, you need to find a way to cook them so they DO like them, no cut them out in cute shapes and hope it tricks them. It won’t.
