Books we want – 1080 recipes from Spain

The Observer Food Monthly serves up a few offerings from a great new book (okay new in the English language at least): namely 1080 recipes – the bible of Spanish cooking.

Penned by the mother/daughter team of Simone and Ines Ortega, 1080 has sold more than a million copies in Spain over the last 30 years. Now it’s available to us and we Gastrodads can’t wait to get our hands on it.

Our favourite offering from the Observer selection – a dish called Important Potatoes. Is there any other type?
