Okay, so I’m on a major Spain kick right now….that 1080 book jump started the whole thing.
Hence my Gastrodad joy at discovering two Spanish restaurant and deli discoveries during my current business trip to London.
The first is Moro, a rocking little Spanish/Moroccan themed (well anywhere the Moors headed actually) joint in Clerkenwell. Perhaps not exactly kid-friendly but you could do worse than eat there as grown-ups (the boquerones and patatas bravas are excellent) and then take a kiddie bag of their jamon serrano home for the little ones. Delicious! They also have a recipe book to peruse.
The second is the tastiest looking and smelling deli I’ve seen in many a long while. It’s called Fernandez & Wells and the line coming out of the front door tells its own story of the quality of its tortillas, jamon y queso bocadillos and a great looking mint bulgar salad.
If you’re on a family trip with the kids to London, check it out.
